Basketball Game Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Del Campo Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Roseville Tigers face off against the Del Campo Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday... Roseville will be strutting in after a victory while Del Campo will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Roseville was able to grind out a solid win over River Valley, taking the game 81-70.

Roseville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthias Howard led the charge by going 10 of 13 en route to 25 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Oreste Yong, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards.

Meanwhile, Del Campo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vista del Lago.

Roseville's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Del Campo, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Roseville came up short against Del Campo in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, falling 76-64. Thankfully for Roseville, Cameron Niles (who went 6 of 10 on his way to 23 points and eight rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
