Jasper had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the South Spencer Rebels a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jasper's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for South Spencer, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.
