Volleyball Recap: Pacifica Takes a Loss

Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ventura Cougars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Thursday.

Pacifica took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 27-25.

Pacifica's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Ventura, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pacifica will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Buena at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd. After both having extra time off, Ventura and Fillmore will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
