Softball Recap: Cameron Comes Up Short

Cameron lost against Madonna back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dragons fell just short of the Blue Dons by a score of 4-3. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lexi Bogard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Aubrey Thomas made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Brooklyn Pekula was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Cameron now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Madonna, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Cameron didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-6 loss against Trinity Christian on the 28th. As for Madonna, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-0 victory against Beallsville on the 28th.
