Volleyball Recap: Amity Regional Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory + How To Watch

Amity Regional waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the East Haven Yellowjackets with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Amity Regional took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-8.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Amity Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Simons, who had ten digs and two aces. Simons is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Noralynn Bosma was another key player, getting six aces and four digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Amity Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Amity Regional's record now sits at 8-1. As for East Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Coming up, Amity Regional will host East Lyme at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for East Haven, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Guilford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
