League recap: Briner dominating on the mound for St. Andrews Episcopal

3A Region 6 league recap: 4/3/13

Daniel Briner was the best pitcher in 3A Region 6 this week, leading St. Andrews Episcopal. He won one game and retired 13 batters.

Justice Davis had the hottest bat in the league this week, racking up a 1.000 average with five RBIs. Meanwhile, McLaurin put together a 1-1 week.

The Tigers boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

There were eight hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. They were led by Justice Davis, who hit 1.000 this week (3-for-3).

Baylor Obert's five RBIs this week were tops in the league. He now stands at 16 RBIs on the season, which puts him first in the league.



Hunter Wilson led McLaurin to a win on March 26, as he notched 11 strikeouts to beat Prentiss, 12-2. He gave up two hits and one run over five innings of work.

Tommy Boone drove in four runners on Thursday in the Tigers' 17-7 victory over Hazlehurst. He went 3-for-5 and scored one run.
