Softball Game Preview: Moon Valley Rockets vs. Dysart Demons

The Moon Valley Rockets will head out to take on the Dysart Demons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Moon Valley has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 26.

Moon Valley fell victim to Greenway and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 15-0 to the Demons.

Meanwhile, Dysart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Yuma.

Mya Sias and Lairanett Bowman did some serious damage despite the final result: Sias went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Bowman went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Roxanna Jimenez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Dysart, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Moon Valley couldn't quite get it done against Dysart when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 12-8. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
