Soccer Recap: Olean Takes a Loss

Olean was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Allegany-Limestone Gators. While losing is never fun, Olean can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 381st, while Allegany-Limestone are ranked 35th).

Olean's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Allegany-Limestone, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Olean has already played their next contest (against Southwestern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Allegany-Limestone, they will challenge Fredonia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
