Basketball Game Preview: Morgantown Mohigans vs. George Washington Patriots

The Morgantown Mohigans will square off against the George Washington Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Morgantown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Martinsburg, who was ranked tenth at the time (Morgantown was ranked second). Morgantown strolled past Martinsburg with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 75-59. The victory continues a trend for the Mohigans in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, George Washington had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Parkersburg South 75-48. That's two games straight that George Washington has won by exactly 27 points.

Morgantown's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for George Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.
