Basketball Game Preview: Kenedy Lions vs. Port Aransas Marlins

Kenedy is 1-9 against Port Aransas since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kenedy Lions just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Port Aransas Marlins at 3:30 p.m. Kenedy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.

Kenedy is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They were dealt an 88-43 defeat at the hands of Agua Dulce.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from William Campbell, who posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Tristan Mireles, who had seven points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Port Aransas got the win against Three Rivers two weeks ago by a conclusive 51-31. The Marlins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Kenedy's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Port Aransas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Kenedy took a serious blow against Port Aransas in their previous matchup back in January, falling 58-27. Can Kenedy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
