Matthew Metzger Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Northern Cass's Matthew Metzger, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Metzger turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday, picking up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 88 yards.
Northern Cass is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. Metzger and Northern Cass will face off against Hillsboro/Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

If history really does repeat itself, Hoppe might just drop another big game when he faces off against Hillsboro/Central Valley on Friday. When Hoppe last faced the H-CV Burros back in September of 2023, he rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.
