Football Game Preview: Central A & M Raiders vs. Heyworth Hornets

The Central A & M Raiders will challenge the Heyworth Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Central A & M turned things around against Fisher on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-6 win over the Bunnies. The Raiders' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Heyworth, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Tuscola with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 30-14.

Heyworth's win came from a few key players Central A & M will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Parker Bell, who threw for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, he racked up 128.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Central A & M's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Heyworth, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Central A & M took their victory against Heyworth when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 35-14 score. In that matchup, the Raiders amassed a halftime lead of 28-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
