Softball Recap: Innovation's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Innovation entered their tilt with Freedom on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Patriots. Considering the Bulls have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Innovation pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Freedom, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-19.

Coming up, Innovation will take on Lake Nona at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Freedom, they will square off against Gateway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.92 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
