Football Preview: Gahr Gladiators vs. Artesia Pioneers        
        
		
             Gahr is 4-0 against Artesia since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The Gahr Gladiators will take on the Artesia Pioneers at 7:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
 Gahr is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They blew past La Puente 41-14. The Gladiators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 24  points or more this season.
  Dylan Richburg was the offensive standout of the  contest as he rushed for 140 yards. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  rushing yards.
 Gahr didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Adrien Ramirez and  Alexander Gutierrez.
 Meanwhile, Artesia didn't have too much breathing room in their  match against Desert Hot Springs on Friday, but they still walked away with a  31-27 victory.
  Charlie Lopez and  Josue Flores were among the main playmakers for Artesia as the former rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry and the latter rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance,  Lopez is now averaging an impressive 106.9  rushing yards per game.
 Artesia wouldn't let Desert Hot Springs keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as  Gerson Juarez,  Lopez,  and  Angel Lagunas picked up one apiece.
 Gahr is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record  this season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 34.5 points per game. As for Artesia, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
 Friday's   matchup might be decided in the on the ground. Gahr has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 169.8  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Artesia struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 223. It's looking like  Friday's  contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
 Everything came up roses for Gahr against Artesia when the teams last played  back in September of 2017, as the  team secured  a  47-7 victory. Does  Gahr have another victory up their sleeve, or will Artesia turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
