Basketball Recap: All Saints Episcopal School Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Lauren Brashear and Hannah Owen

All Saints Episcopal School lost against Southcrest Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The All Saints Episcopal School Patriots took a 33-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southcrest Christian. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

All Saints Episcopal School's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Hannah Owen, who posted seven points and eight rebounds, and Lauren Brashear, who put up eight points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Brashear has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times she's played.

Even though they lost, All Saints Episcopal School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

All Saints Episcopal School's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Southcrest Christian, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

All Saints Episcopal School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-28 victory against Holy Cross on the 11th. As for Southcrest Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on All Saints Episcopal School at 6:15 p.m. on February 4th.
