Volleyball Game Preview: Kewanee Boilermakers vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers

The Kewanee Boilermakers will take on the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers in a tournament on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Kewanee came up short against Princeton and fell 2-0. The Boilermakers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with 18 straight wins... but they left with 19. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Rams.

Erie-Prophetstown had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-19.

Erie-Prophetstown's win bumped their record up to 26-2. As for Kewanee, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11-1.

Kewanee couldn't quite get it done against Erie-Prophetstown in their previous matchup last Tuesday as they fell 2-0. Can the Boilermakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
