Diamond Ranch extended their winning streak  to five  on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 13-8 in the process. They walked away with  a   6-1  win over the Don Lugo Conquistadores. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Conquistadores  on April 7th, they had to take a  14-4  defeat.
 Izel Avalos was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  run. She is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last five games she's  played.
 In other batting news, Diamond Ranch let  Elena Rodriguez and  Liset Renteria run wild. Rodriguez  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  runs, while  Renteria  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
As for Don Lugo, their loss  ended  a  13-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 15-4-1. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the  matchup (they scored no less than ten  runs in the three  games prior), but Diamond Ranch's pitcher proved too tough.
 On Don Lugo's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alyssa Martinez, who  went 1-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI. Another  was  Angeline Canez, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles and one  run.
Diamond Ranch will have a chance to go back-to-back against Don Lugo: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
