Basketball Game Preview: Southside Christian Patriots vs. CES Academy Knights

The Southside Christian Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the CES Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Southside Christian is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Faith Baptist Christian Academy on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Southside Christian was outmatched by Faith Baptist Christian Academy and fell 77-37. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, CES Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Faith Baptist Christian Academy on Friday, but they still walked away with a 45-39 win.

CES Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Southside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Southside Christian came up short against CES Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 57-50. Can Southside Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
