Basketball Game Preview: Catasauqua Rough Riders vs. Palisades Pirates

The Catasauqua Rough Riders will take on the Palisades Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Catasauqua has three straight wins, Palisades has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Catasauqua got the win against Pen Argyl by a conclusive 59-36. That 23 point margin sets a new team best for the Rough Riders this season.

Meanwhile, Palisades had to suffer through a 65-35 loss at the hands of Southern Lehigh.

Despite the loss, Palisades saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lincoln Cook posted 12 points.

Catasauqua's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Palisades, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Catasauqua strolled past Palisades in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 59-44. Will Catasauqua repeat their success, or does Palisades have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
