South Grand Prairie never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Grand Prairie Gophers, posting a 54-0 win. The Warriors' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

South Grand Prairie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daylon Brooks led the charge by throwing for 136 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 39 yards and one touchdown. Another back making a difference was Josiah Lucas, who rushed for 62 yards and two scores on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Grand Prairie was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grand Prairie only rushed for 91.

South Grand Prairie pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Grand Prairie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
