Volleyball Recap: Daniela Vargas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Stagg over Tokay

Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Tokay Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 25-13.

Several Delta Kings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniela Vargas, who had three digs and three blocks. Vargas is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Mia Junez was another key player, getting nine digs.

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Tokay, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-9.

Stagg has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Bear Creek on the 20th. As for Tokay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Franklin on the 20th.
