Football Game Preview: Acton-Boxborough vs. Waltham

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Waltham should expect quite the challenge on Saturday. They take on Acton-Boxborough at Leary Field in Waltham at 1:00 PM. Waltham come in off of five low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.

Waltham suffered a grim 6-40 defeat to Lincoln-Sudbury last Friday.

Meanwhile, Acton-Boxborough might be getting used to good results now that the squad have five wins in a row. Everything went their way against Dracut as they made off with a 35-7 win. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Acton-Boxborough had established a 28-7 advantage.

Acton-Boxborough's victory lifted them to 5-0 while Waltham's defeat dropped them down to 2-3. We'll see if Acton-Boxborough's success rolls on or if Waltham are able to steal their positive momentum.
