Basketball Preview: Ellinwood Eagles vs. Otis-Bison Cougars
The Ellinwood Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Otis-Bison Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ellinwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season.
Ellinwood took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Kinsley, posting a 79-39 win. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Landon Simpson was his usual excellent self, going 11-for-20 from beyond the arc on his way to 50 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Layton Wirtz was another key player, going 5-for-8 en route to 14 points.
Meanwhile, Otis-Bison hadn't done well against Macksville recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Otis-Bison snuck past Macksville with a 66-61 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
