Recap: J.Z. George vs. Water Valley
Water Valley won the last time they faced J.Z. George, and things went their way on Friday, too. Water Valley were fully in charge, breezing past J.Z. George 41-6. The margin was wide but not a surprise since Water Valley are ranked far ahead of J.Z. George in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Water Valley's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 34 points in the first half. Meanwhile, J.Z. George couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 34-0 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Water Valley in the second half and held J.Z. George to 6 points. The game pushed J.Z. George down to 0-2 and pulled Water Valley up to the reverse 2-0.
Next week, Water Valley take on Bruce at BRUCE HS at 7:00 PM. As for J.Z. George, they will face off against Union.
