Volleyball Game Preview: St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers vs. Parkview Baptist Eagles

The St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers will challenge the Parkview Baptist Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Joseph's Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Teurlings Catholic, who was ranked 11th at the time (St. Joseph's Academy was ranked tenth). The Redstickers came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Redstickers as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

St. Joseph's Academy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Parkview Baptist was able to grind out a solid victory over Teurlings Catholic on Friday, taking the game 2-0.

While Parkview Baptist might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Teurlings Catholic scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18.

St. Joseph's Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Parkview Baptist, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
