Softball Recap: Audubon Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Audubon came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Haddon Township Hawks. Considering the Green Wave have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alaina Copsetta looked comfortable as she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emma Speyerer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one stolen base. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Isabella Lamancusa was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Audubon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Haddon Township only posted a batting average of .120.

Audubon's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Haddon Township, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Coming up, Audubon will head out to challenge Sterling at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Haddon Township, they will be playing at home against Gloucester City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
