Softball Recap: Fullerton Find Success

Fullerton posted their closest win since May 2, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Warren Bears 6-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Malaya Majam-Finch made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Majam-Finch wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ava Flores, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Melia Vera also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Fullerton and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Warren, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Fullerton will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Hamilton at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fullerton's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Hamilton's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Warren, they have already played their next match, an 8-5 defeat against El Rancho on the 4th.
