Basketball Recap: Geneseo Comes Up Short

Geneseo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 56-25 defeat at the hands of the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses. While losing is never fun, the Maple Leafs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 608th, while the Dukes & Duchesses are ranked 160th).

Geneseo's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Dixon, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Geneseo will challenge Moline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dixon, they will square off against Oak Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
