Volleyball Recap: Los Osos Comes Up Short

Los Osos lost against Chino Hills back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Los Osos Grizzlies lost 3-0 to the Chino Hills Huskies. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Los Osos was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-22.

Chino Hills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sean Spicer, who had 13 kills, four aces, and one block. Spicer is crushing it when it comes to kills: he's had at least six every time he's taken the court this season. Anthony Sabbara was another key player, getting 32 assists.

Los Osos' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Chino Hills, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Coming up, Los Osos will square off against Damien at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Osos is facing Damien at the right time seeing as Damien is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Chino Hills, they will challenge Etiwanda at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Chino Hills will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Etiwanda will have lost three straight heading into Tuesday's matchup.
