Preview: McKeel Academy vs. LaBelle
After two games on the road, McKeel Academy is heading back home. They will take on the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
McKeel Academy extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Mulberry. Their defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 4-0 shutout.
McKeel Academy hit Mulberry with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Alexander Alejo,
Hunter Mendez,
Anthony Lucio, and
Drew Snyder.
Meanwhile, LaBelle made easy work of Aubrey Rogers on Tuesday and carried off a 5-1 victory. The win was just what LaBelle needed coming off of a 5-2 defeat in their prior match.
McKeel Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-2 record this season. As for LaBelle, their win bumped their record up to 13-7-2.
McKeel Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against LaBelle when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Does McKeel Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will LaBelle turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
