 Munford typically has all the answers at home, but  on Monday Sylacauga proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the Munford Lions. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sylacauga also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2021.
  Conner Phillips was a standout: he scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Braden Large was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 On Munford's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  David Pettus, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base.
 Sylacauga's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Munford, their defeat  ended  a  ten-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 11-2.
 Sylacauga will head out on the road to  take on  Childersburg at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Munford, they will be playing at home against Cleburne County at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
