After a string of three wins, Minneapolis Southwest's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Apple Valley Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2016.

Minneapolis Southwest actually scored more points across those five sets (102-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 15-25, 25-23, 25-20, 15-9.
