Baseball Recap: College Park's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

College Park entered their tilt with Campolindo on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Cougars. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

College Park got a great performance from James Voorhies as he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Voorhies has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Vincent 'Tino' Vasell was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Trent 'TJ' Lanza also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

College Park's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Campolindo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Coming up, College Park will take on Rocklin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Thunder will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Campolindo, they will square off against Montgomery at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
