Tumwater has gone 9-1 against Shelton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds will be playing at home against the Highclimbers at 4:30 p.m. Tumwater is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Tumwater was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Centralia on Monday. The Thunderbirds were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over the Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Sarah Stevens was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

In other batting news, Jaime Haase was incredible, firing off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Megan Barrett, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Tumwater always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Shelton lost 7-1 to WF West on Monday. The Highclimbers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tumwater's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Shelton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Everything went Tumwater's way against Shelton in their previous matchup last Monday, as Tumwater made off with a 13-3 victory. Will the Thunderbirds repeat their success, or do the Highclimbers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
