Volleyball Recap: Millard North Mustangs vs. Bellevue East Chieftains

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Millard North had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Bellevue East Chieftains. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chieftains, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Millard North was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-7, 25-12.

Taylor Elsasser paced Millard North's offense, picking up 13 kills. Elsasser got some help from Brylee Nelsen and her 39 assists. Kenzie Kucks controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Millard North's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-14. As for Bellevue East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-22.

Millard North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Millard West on the 30th. Bellevue East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
