Game recap: Van Meter High School Football Team defeats Des Moines Christian

DES MOINES, Iowa - Van Meter (Iowa) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat Des Moines Christian (Des Moines, Iowa), 28-0, on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Cody Blackwell in the first quarter, the Bulldogs led 21-0 at the half.

Van Meter expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. VM scored once in the quarter on a Brandon Brittain touchdown pass to Ben Flaherty.

With the win the Bulldogs extended their winning streak to nine games. Van Meter defeated West Central Valley 50-14 last week.



Van Meter had given up an average of 11.0 points prior to the contest.

VM also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 35-6.
