Basketball Recap: Raleigh Charter Comes Up Short

Raleigh Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the Research Triangle Raptors. The Phoenix lost against the Raptors in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-29 score last time.

Raleigh Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Research Triangle, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raleigh Charter will venture away from home to take on Falls Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Research Triangle, they are taking a road trip to face off against Wake Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
