Basketball Recap: Hertford County Bears vs. Currituck County Knights
Hertford County lost against Currituck County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hertford County Bears fell to the Currituck County Knights 39-35. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Knights are ranked 130th).
Hertford County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Karae' Alfred, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 21 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Alfred a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn White, who posted nine points and three steals.
