Dawson School unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 45-38 to Denver Christian. Dawson School has not had much luck with Denver Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Jackson Parker, who shot 4-for-9 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 36 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Peter Ernst was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Heritage Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against Clear Creek by a score of 63-54. Given Heritage Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Clear Creek is ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dawson School's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Heritage Christian, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2.
