Midland entered their tilt with Amarillo on Saturday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Amarillo Sandies. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since April 16, 2024.

Malayah Carillo looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed over her last nine games.
