Basketball Recap: Accelerate Christian Warriors vs. Holy Cross Academy Mustangs
The Accelerate Christian Warriors waltzed into their match on Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They slipped by Holy Cross Academy 48-47. That's another feather in the cap for Accelerate Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Accelerate Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jada Craddock led the charge by scoring six points along with 24 rebounds and four steals. Craddock is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Jaramillo, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Accelerate Christian pushed their record up to 12-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Holy Cross Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Accelerate Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. Holy Cross is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. Holy Cross Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
