Baseball Recap: The Covenant Takes a Loss

After flying high against Carlisle on Monday, The Covenant came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 10-4 to the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in April.

Hudson Reese made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

The Covenant's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they pushed their record up to 30-6 with the victory, which was their 31st straight at home dating back to last season.

The Covenant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they will face off against North Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
