It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact James River can now relate to. They took a hard 71-55 fall against the Liberty Minutemen on Friday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Liberty was led to victory by Shania Brown and Moriah Tate. Brown dropped a double-double with 24 points and 18 rebounds, while Tate dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave Tate a new career-high in assists. Cierra St. John was another key player, putting up nine points and five assists.

James River's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Liberty, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Looking ahead, James River will take on Central Wise at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will welcome Ridgeview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Liberty likes a good challenge.
