Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Springfield). They breezed by the Thurgood Marshall Cougars to the tune of 81-51 on Saturday. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Cougars are ranked 519th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Thurgood Marshall lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Zyshawn Walker, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Miking Malcolm, who earned nine points and six rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Springfield and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for Thurgood Marshall, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7.
