Winnfield got themselves on the board against Calvin on Saturday, but Calvin never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 9-0 win. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Daniel Luke Page and Payden Parker did most of the damage at the plate: Page scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Parker scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, Parker posted two RBI, the most he's had over his last 13 matches. Daniel Martin was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Winnfield pushed their record up to 12-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Calvin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
