Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 90-78 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lester Prairie Bulldogs. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Lester Prairie, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop and St. Mary's will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. St. Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop likes a good challenge. As for Lester Prairie, they and New Ulm Cathedral will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lester Prairie has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
