Basketball Recap: Newburgh Free Academy Piles Up the Points Against Pine Bush

Newburgh Free Academy had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 34-point drubbing they dealt Pine Bush on Thursday. The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pine Bush Bushmen 88-54. That's more bragging rights for the Goldbacks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Newburgh Free Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pine Bush, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Newburgh Free Academy will be home for the holidays to greet North Rockland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pine Bush, they will take on Millbrook at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
