Basketball Recap: Village Tech Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Village Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 60-46 victory over the Peaster Greyhounds on Monday.

Village Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Thomas, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 18 points and six steals. That's the most steals Thomas has posted since back in November of 2024. Ryan Hogg was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

Village Tech's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.4 points on average over those games. As for Peaster, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Village Tech will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Terrell at 8:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Peaster, they and Henrietta will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
