Centennial dropped their record down to 16-8 on Monday, which also ended the team's 12-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Youngker Roughriders by a score of 6-5. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Roughriders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

Bobby Villa III was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one triple. David Daniels was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Youngker, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

On Youngker's side, their win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jeremiah Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Garcia has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-2 victory against Willow Canyon on the 22nd. As for Youngker, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against North Canyon on the 22nd.
