Basketball Game Preview: Hesston Swathers vs. Rose Hill Rockets

Having just played yesterday, the Hesston Swathers will head out on the road to face off against the Rose Hill Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hesston will be strutting in after a win while Rose Hill will be coming in after a defeat.

Hesston is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Garden Plain: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Hesston blew Garden Plain out of the water with a 61-21 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Swathers had established a 33 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Rose Hill took a blow against Garden Plain on Tuesday, falling 58-27. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Owls: they've now lost six in a row.

Rose Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Hesston, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Hesston against Rose Hill in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 67-21 win. In that contest, Hesston amassed a halftime lead of 38-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
